Silhouette Threat - AGA Amiga - Second Level Playable Demo now Available!

A demo of the second level is now available.  This one is autoscrolling so the gameplay differs from the first level.  It also contains 6 layers of simulated parallax scrolling, something I always wanted to see in an Amiga game.  I hope you enjoy it, please leave any constructive critiques in the comments.

Silhouette Threat - AGA Amiga - First Level Playable Demo

A WIP playable demo of an action platformer for the Amiga 1200 or Amiga 4000 using Scorpion Engine.  My 12 year old daughter has helped me with a lot of the art and with the game concept.  A girl has fallen into a world full of sihouettes and armed only with her umbrella has to take out the enemies and collect the raindrops needed to open the portal back to her land.  In this first demo you have to collect 5 raindrops to defeat the level.  It's a work in progress that is still in early stages but I would love to hear any feedback or ideas about any aspect of the game or the controls so that we can keep working to make it the best possible.

Just Played First Level and i am impressed. The grafics are Something other, in a good and freshing way. The monsters could need a lil bit more Love but i guess they should be dark and creepy. The JUMP at the start is really nice needed some time to get through the Piranhas. The mechanics are very well, Like the jump at the two plattorms. If you Miss the second Plattform you can start again ! The Endboss really flow Like a devil on me and i was really jump scared a second. Very well down all in all, Just two Points the Monster need names and some Pixel Love. Second the control a little "slugish" but i think this Is extra so? Makes it a little hard at the begin but after some time you get used to it. Hope to See more from you... Sorry for my Bad english im from Europa IT IS only My second language. Greetings and stay with this Game !!! Love it

Thank you for the kind words.  Quite a lot of people liked the first level but I didn't get much response to the second level.  My daughter did most of the graphics for level one but it's hard to get her motivated to do more these days.  Maybe after I finish my new game Anguish and if my daughter has a change of heart I will return to Silhouette Threat one day.

Cool stuff!

Thank you!

Nice - demo level 2

Demo level 2- updated

Thank you for doing both videos, you're the best!

Really beautiful artist style and the game has a great atmosphere, I hope the game will be ready soon. ๐Ÿ™‚ I also included it in my February 2024 New Games On Amiga video.

Thank you for the compliment and thanks for playing the game and showcasing it in your video.  I'm hoping to put out a demo of Level 2 in a couple of weeks time.

Sorry I forgot to reply to this, thank you for playing and thanks for making the video, you got a new subscriber.

What an incredibly enjoyable game lionagony. Congratulations! Here's my playthrough. :)

Thanks so much!  I'm impressed with the skill level, I still have a hard time making the jump onto the moving platform from the disappearing one!

Yes, that is indeed quite difficult, took me a few goes to master it

Nice game!

Thank you so much, you're so quick!  It was actually one of my goals in releasing the demo to get on your channel, very honoured as I check your page everyday for new releases.  Thanks for playing.
